EVIL AND THE POWER OF GOD'S SOVEREIGNTY
By Synthia Esther
God has allowed evil into the world for a brief time so that we are given the freewill choice to draw near to Him or Satan. In this world we will have problems, how we react to our problems, is a choice. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. As we seek to do good, we bring life and the light of Christ to those in need.
In heaven there is no evil. In order to make heaven our home, we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, and believe in His power of grace and forgiveness. As Christians we are to submit to God, resist the devil, who then flees (James 4:7). For to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, it is sin (James 4:17).
As we stand firm in our faith, lean on God's word, we grow to trust in His sovereignty. Evil is bondage to sin. Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage (Galatians 5:1).
