SYNTHIA ESTHER PREDICTIONS:
"I discern the years 2010- 2013 to hold many trials and tribulations for the American people. Our country will be in grave danger because of the misguided efforts of our government leadership. Accountablity will be demanded by the American people. But the damage will have been done, and the retreat all too late. As always, God will take care of His children. Making a way where there is none. There will be much distress, with the Biblical scripture confirmed: 'men's hearts will fail them due to fear' (Luke 21:26). Earth changes and water shortage will increase, along with financial troubles for America. The world will continue to look unto many gods, as the spiritual climate becomes more defiled against Yahweh, the one true God. " - Synthia Esther
THE MAYAN CALENDAR
* According to many New Age experts, the Mayan calender, started in 3114 BC, predicts December 21, 2012 to be an end time date to the world as we know it. According to Mayan prophecy our Sun will be aligning with the “Dark Rift,” or cosmic portal located at the center of our galaxy on the Winter Solstices of 12/21/2012 at precisely “11:11."
* NASA states 11:11 is the exact time of the 2012 Winter Solstice. The Nasa FAQ section also addresses "2012 - Beginning of the End or Why the World won't End?"
Question: Are there any threats to the Earth in 2012? Many Internet websites say the world will end in December 2012.
Answer: Nothing bad will happen to the Earth in 2012. Our planet has been getting along just fine for more than 4 billion years, and credible scientists worldwide know of no threat associated with 2012.
Question: What is the origin of the prediction that the world will end in 2012?
Answer: The story started with claims that Nibiru, a supposed planet discoverd by the Sumerians, is headed toward Earth. This catastrophe was initially predicted for May 2003, but when nothing happened the doomsday date was moved forward to December 2012. Then these two tables were linked to the end of one of the cycles in the ancient Mayan calendar at the winter solistice in 2012 - hence the predicted doomsday date of December 21, 2012.
Question: Does the Mayan calendar end in December 2012?
Answer: Just as the calendar you have on your kitchen wall does not cease to exist after December 31, the Mayan calendar does not cease to exist on December 21, 2012. The date is the end of the Mayan long-count period but then - just as your calendar begins again on January 1 - another long-count period begins for the Mayan calendar.

WHAT IS THE 2012 - MAYAN SIGNIFICANCE?
"The present-day Maya, as a whole, do not attach much significance to 2012, with the significance of the date remaining uncertain. Most classic Maya inscriptions are strictly historical and do not make any prophetic declarations. Mayan elder Apolinario Chile Pixtun and Mexican archaeologist Guillermo Bernal both note that 'apocalypse' is a Western concept that has little or nothing to do with Mayan beliefs." - Wikpedia
MAYAN ARCHAEOLOGIST JOSE HUCHM
Mayan archaeologist Jose Huchm concludes, "If I went to some Mayan speaking communities and asked people what is going to happen in 2012, they wouldn't have any idea. That the world is going to end? They wouldn't believe you. We have real concerns these days, like rain."
Mark Stevenson, Associated Press Writer, Salt Lake Tribune News Report, 10/10/2009 writes:
NEXT APOCALYPSE? MAYAN YEAR 2012 STIRS DOOMSAYERS
"A signigicant time period for the Mayas does end on the date, and enthusiasts have found a series of astronomical alignments they say coincide in 2012, including one that happens roughly only once every 25,800 years. But most archaeologists, astronomers and Maya say the only thing likely to hit Earth is a meteor shower of New Age philosophy, pop astronomy, Internet doomsday rumors and TV specials such as one on the History Channel which mixes predictions from Nostradamus and the Mayas and asks: 'Is 2012 the year the cosmic clock finally winds down to zero days, zero hope?' It may sound all too much like other doomsday scenarios of recent decades - the 1987 Harmonic Convergence, the Jupiter Effect or 'Planet X.'"
Stevenson does go on to report in his article concerning the stone tablet "Monument Six." Found in a ruin in southern Mexico during highway construction in the 1960's, what is left of the illegible stone tablet contain the equivalent of the date 2012. The inscription alludes to something that is supposed to occur in 2012 involving Bolon Yoke, a mysterious Mayan god associated with both war and creation. You can reference our website page (by clicking our hyperlink) - "Mayan Human Sacrifice and Blood Letting" to their gods, for additional educational information pertaining to Mayan rites and rituals. Archaeologist Guillermo Bernal of Mexico's National Autonomous University interprets the last eroded glyphs as perhaps saying, "He will descend from the sky." Bernal also notes there are other inscriptions at the Mayan sites for dates that go far beyond 2012, including one that translates into the year 4772.
The Mayans had a vast interest in chronology. Their obsession with the calendar, is a joint link many such societies shared as they placed their dependence on agriculture and religious festivals. Knowledge of the seasons and the time of maximum rainfall being essential to the timing of seed planting, sowing, and harvesting. In the book, "The World's Last Mysteries," Pleasantville, New York, Montreal, Seventh Printing - March 1982 (First Published in France as Les Demiers Mysteres du Monde), Page 270-272, we read of the Mayans calculated and accurate mathmatical data, upon which their calendar was devised. For the Mayans, their extended observations according to recovered history, took place over a period of 384 years.
They fixed the Venusian year at 584 days, while current calculations make it 583.92 days. This is equivalent to a margin of error of 72 minutes in each year, or six minutes a month. When the Dresden Codex was deciphered it revealed facts about the Mayas mathematical averages. An example is cited that calculation of the lunar month requires observations covering 405 moons, which is a total of 32 3/4 years. The Mayas calculated 405 moons occurred in a period of 11,960 days. Astronomers today make it 11,959.888 days. The Mayas were off one day every 292 years - or less than five minutes a year.
"If the Venusian cycle inspiried Mayan mathematics it was probably due to the fact that Venus is the brightest 'star.' It is visible in the sky before the sun sets and continues to shine for some time after the sun has risen. This characteristic makes it possible to note the position of the planet above the horizon at the moment of sunrise or sunset. By careful observation, the Mayan astronomers could have found that over a period of eight earth years Venius completed exactly five cycles of movement in the sky, and that it then began to repeat the sequence. By dividing 2, 290 - the number of days in eight 365-day earth years - by five, they arrived at the length of each Venusian cycle: 584 days (page 272)."
Mayan mathemathics included counting by 20's. They wrote numbers in colomns reading from the bottom to top, and made use of a positional system, and three symbols - a dot, a bar and a shell shape representing zero. A number up to 20 was expressed by a single hieroglyphic. Each hieroglyphic was a combination of dots and bars, or dashes, each dot standing for 1, each bar for 5. Their math system is said to be even more concise than our own way of numbering, which was developed in India and the Middle East, and is based on 10's. Their year was made up of 18 months of 20 days, plus five extra days, called a haab. The 360-day period was called the tun, and formed the basis of the calendar, included were also a series of multiples.
OTHER 2012 - 11:11 MYTHOLOGY:
* Sumerian Mythology includes a multitude of good and evil gods and goddesses who came to Earth from Nibiru, “Planet of the Crossing,” to create the human race. The return date of Nibiru is said by many to coincide with the Winter Solstice of 2012, at “11:11,” December 21st.

COULD DECEMBER - 2012 BE THE END OF DAYS? ONLY GOD KNOWS.
"But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah." - Matthew 24:36-37
WHAT WAS IT LIKE IN NOAH'S DAY?
"For as in those days which were before the flood they were eating and drinking, they were marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so shall the coming of the Son of Man be." - Matthew 24:38-39
GOD'S BIBLICAL WARNING...
"Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming. But be sure of this, that if the head of the house had known at what time of the night the thief was coming, he would have been on the alert and would have not allowed his house to be broken into. For this reason you be ready too; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He will." - Matthew 24:42-44
LEARN THE PARABLE FROM THE FIG TREE...
"Now learn the parable from the fig tree; when its branch has already become tender, and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near; even so you too, when you see all these things, recognize that He is near, right at the door. 'Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.'" - Matthew 24:32-34
Noted "End Times" Author Hal Lindsey ( www.hallindsey.com/watchman-warning-7252009/ ), reports concerning The Parable of the Fig Tree, "What generation? Obviously, in context, the generation that would see the signs - chief among them the rebirth of the State of Israel. A generation in the Bible is something like forty years. If this is a correct deduction, then within forty years or so of 1948, all these things could take place. In other words, the generation that witnesses the coming together of all the signs given in the Olivet Discourse will not die before they are all fulfilled."
